The K-pop star shared her excitement on Instagram, expressing how honored she felt to wave the flag at her first F1 event.
During the race day, Lisa snapped a photo with Red Bull driver Max Verstappen, who finished second behind McLaren’s Lando Norris. Dressed in a chic beige jacket and miniskirt set, she waved the checkered flag from the pit wall, marking the end of the race according to F1’s regulations.
Aside from meeting the Oracle team mechanics and admiring the sleek race cars at the track, Lisa’s appearance at the event comes shortly after the news of her signing a deal with RCA Records. This partnership with her LLOUD Co. management company allows her to retain ownership of her solo music while continuing to release music with BLACKPINK under Interscope Records.
Known for her solo hits “Lalisa” and “Money,” both of which made their mark on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, Lisa’s track “Money” achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first solo K-pop song to surpass 1 billion streams on Spotify in September.
