The Rolling Stones graced the stage at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona on Tuesday, May 7 as part of their ongoing U.S. tour in support of their latest album ‘Hackney Diamonds’. Following a sensational closing performance at the 2024 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, the legendary British rock band delighted their fans with a night to remember, complete with a mix of classic hits, tour debuts, and rare gems.

The evening kicked off with the timeless anthem “Start Me Up”, setting the mood for a high-octane show led by the incomparable Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood, and their talented backing band. Delving into their extensive catalog, the Stones surprised the audience with a tour debut of the title track from their 1974 album ‘It’s Only Rock ‘n’ Roll’, marking its first live performance since November 20, 2021.

Continuing the trend of surprises, the band thrilled fans with a live rendition of “She’s So Cold”, a song that hadn’t been played since 2019. From there, they seamlessly weaved in tracks from ‘Hackney Diamonds’, including the rarity “Angry”, performed for only the fourth time ever, followed by the crowd-favorite “Beast of Burden”. The fan-selected “Monkey Man”, making its tour debut and last played in 2021, kept the momentum going.

The setlist also included hits like “Mess It Up”, “Tumbling Dice”, and the iconic “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” before Richards took center stage for a soulful rendition of “Little T&A”. The evening continued with a string of classics such as “Sympathy For The Devil”, “Honky Tonk Women”, “Miss You”, “Gimme Shelter”, “Paint It Black”, and a powerful closing with “Jumpin’ Jack Flash”.

Wrapping up the night, the band showcased their new track “Sweet Sounds of Heaven” before revisiting their timeless classic “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction” from 1965, leaving the audience in awe of their enduring talent and vibrant energy.

After their spectacular show in Arizona, The Rolling Stones will take a brief break before resuming their ‘Hackney Diamonds’ tour on May 11 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. For fans who haven’t experienced the magic live, tickets are still available for purchase on their official website.
