Welcome to Music Nation 365, where we bring you the latest news and updates from the world of music! Today, we have an exciting story to share with you about legendary musician Jon Anderson.
As revealed back in March, Jon Anderson has been busy working on a brand new album titled TRUE. The former Yes singer has announced that he will be releasing this album through his new record label, Frontiers Records, on August 23.
TRUE features nine songs and was recorded with The Band Geeks, with whom Anderson has been touring America for the past two years. The album is described as a collection of songs that pay homage to Yes’s classic 70s sound while also drawing inspiration from their later success with the album 90125.
Prior to the release of the album, fans can look forward to the single “Shine On,” which will be accompanied by a new music video set to debut in June. The album was co-produced, engineered, and mixed by Band Geek bassist Richie Castellano, who also serves as the musical director for the group.
To celebrate the release of TRUE, Jon Anderson and The Band Geeks will be embarking on a series of tour dates under the banner “Yes: Epics, Classics, and More.” The North American tour kicks off on May 30 at the State Theatre in New Brunswick, NJ, and concludes on August 16 at the Performing Arts Center in Thousand Oaks, CA. Stay tuned for additional tour dates in September, which will be announced in the coming weeks.
