Charli XCX, the pop sensation, is back with a new single that has taken the internet by storm. Titled “360,” the music video for the song features a star-studded cast of influencers on a mission to find the next viral sensation. Released on a Friday morning, the video showcases Charli running late for a dinner date with her friends at a fancy restaurant.
Upon arrival, Charli is met with a room full of famous faces, including actress Rachel Sennott and singer/model Gabbriette from Nasty Cherry. The group is on a quest to discover the next “hot internet girl,” fearing that their kind will cease to exist if they fail in their search. With dramatic violin stabs in the background, Charli reluctantly agrees to join in the hunt and randomly selects Uncut Gems actress Julia Fox as their target.
As the group bombards their chosen woman with vague advice like having a certain “je ne sais quoi” and being “really hot in a scary way,” the music video takes off on a series of quirky adventures. From riding atop a hospital gurney to a wine-and-selfies workout, the crew, which includes names like ChloĂ« Sevigny and Emma Chamberlain, embarks on a whirlwind of activities.
All the while, Charli’s retro synth pop track, produced by A. G. Cook, sets the scene as she croons, “Yeah, 360/ When you’re in the mirror, do you like what you see?/ When you’re in the mirror, you’re just looking at me/ I’m everywhere, I’m so Julia/Ah-ah, ah/ When you’re in the party b-b-bumpin’ that beat/ 666 with a princess streak.”
“360” serves as the follow-up to Charli’s previously released single, “Von Dutch.” Fans can expect more from her upcoming album, BRAT, set to drop on June 7 via Atlantic Records. Additionally, Charli is gearing up for an arena tour with Troye Sivan this fall, kicking off on September 14 in Detroit at the Little Caesars Arena.
